From Oliver Apt. to Studio Bramble.

Studio Bramble is a team of designers and carpenters in Edmonton, Canada creating furniture and interiors that enrich people’s lives. You may have known us formerly as Oliver Apt.

Our previous brand name was inspired by the Edmonton neighbourhood where our Founder first began to craft furniture in his home and the seeds for our studio were first planted. We have discovered some disheartening information about the namesake of that community, Frank Oliver. He is not someone who reflects the values of our team, and upon learning this information, it was clear this was not a name we wanted to bear. 

Our business is made up of passionate and driven individuals who subscribe to the mindset of continuous improvement. An opportunity presented itself for us to look to our next chapter as a studio with big goals to enrich the lives of all people with good, beautiful and functional design. Bramble is a word we feel represents the creative spirit of our team.

It’s with great humbleness we move forward with a new name, knowing there is more work to be done to educate ourselves on the history of our city and our country to better understand our colleagues, our neighbours, our friends and the communities we serve. We thank you for your understanding, patience and continued support and look forward to sharing the exciting next steps as Studio Bramble.
