About Made by Marcus
Producers of small batch ice cream from scratch, Made by Marcus sources dairy from grass-fed cows and real ingredients produced by farmers, roasters, distillers and artisans. Founded in Calgary in 2016, Made by Marcus is famous for their wildly creative flavour combinations, their seasonal experimentations and super long line-ups — that are well worth the wait.

Our work
We were approached to imagine a space that captured the spirit of ice cream and embodied the Made by Marcus brand — to design a retail experience that created a connection between guests, ice cream and scoopers. This approach informed the layout and flow of the space, creating a certain ease with rounded edges and custom furniture that guided the user through the ideal tasting and purchase flow. The resulting look and feel is a playful aesthetic that entices guests to stick around and enjoy their indulgences — an experience you have to taste to understand.
We extended the creative vision for this project beyond the physical space and using the existing Made by Marcus brand, we developed new gift cards, gift card displays, ice cream spoons and packaging, loyalty cards, pins and tees.
From the start of your project to doors open, our designers work hand in hand with our in-house carpenters and fabricators to execute exactly to plan, and on budget.
